ASOP an honoree in Kansas City Business Journal’s 2024 Best Places to Work AWARDS PROGRAM | October 2024
Accelerated Schools of Overland Park (ASOP) is excited to announce that it is one of 45 honorees in the Kansas City Business Journal’s 2024 Best Places to Work awards program.
The Best Places to Work program recognizes companies and organizations in the Kansas City Area who exhibit excellence in creating a positive culture for their employees. Organizations are ranked by employee surveys in the areas of work culture, leadership, employee benefits, feeling valued and employee opportunities to contribute to their profession and communities.
Accelerated Schools is honored to be recognized in the top 10 for the “5-50 local employees” category, and even more thrilled to be the only school honored in any size category. “Teachers are leaving the teaching profession in droves,” says Annie Swartz, ASOP Principal. “Teachers are not leaving education because they no longer feel passionate about making a positive difference in a student’s life or because they no longer value the importance of education. They’re leaving because the demands placed on teachers in more traditional school environments are so overwhelming that they no longer feel like they can make a difference while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. ASOP’s small student-to-faculty ratio (7:1) and flexible teaching schedules allows teachers to focus on what first drew them to the profession: the success of their students.”
The Kansas City Business Journal recognized the 45 "Best Places to Work" honorees at Arrowhead Stadium during an Awards ceremony on October 23, 2024. The top three winners in each size category were also announced. ASOP administration and some staff attended the event. The school and other honorees will have their profiles featured in the Kansas City Business Journal’s October 25th issue.
