ASOP’s College and Career Program supports and assists juniors and seniors in planning beyond the high school classroom through:

• Individual planning sessions to discuss a transition plan for life beyond high school

• Registration, preparation and practice for the ACT and Accuplacer

• Assistance in career exploration through interest assessments and surveys

• Referral to Pre-Employment Transition Services, if appropriate

• Writing and updating the ASOP Accommodation Plan

• Recommendation to the Transition Into Post Secondary (TIPS) class at Johnson County Community College

• Information and/or field trips to observe college campuses, job fairs, vocational opportunities, job shadowing, internships, and other opportunities in the community.
